This year the beginning of April brings Easter, the Easter season, and the start of our Liturgical Year. We celebrate this season for 7 weeks until Pentecost.

During the month of April, students at St. Mary will participate in a month-long initiative to care for our earth. Daily tasks are set up for both home and school. Please check our April Calendar for details.

On Thursday April 8th at 6:00 pm we are hosting our first Virtual Open House for all new Grade 4 families and students joining us in September 2021. Please check our school website for details and a link to join us Virtually.

Many thanks to our Catholic Parent Council for their fundraising efforts. We are in the process of getting quotes for a small play structure and addition to our playground. We have also applied for an outdoor grant to repaint playground games on the pavement area and add some new ones.

Our connection to St. Mary Parish remains strong as we welcome the Rosary Apostolate monthly and Fr. Cosmos, who joined us during Holy Week for a Virtual prayer service focusing on reconciliation. Special thanks for allowing our students to use the church parking to maintain social distancing and our student cohorts at recess.

We continue to accept registrations for the 2021-2022 school year. For further information please go to https://www.cdsbeo.on.ca  to access online registration.

On behalf of the staff, I would like to wish all the members of our school community a Holy and Blessed Easter Season.

Yours in Catholic Education,
Karen Carriere
